Mr. Kumar Sherpa is one of the two founders and Chairman of Swagat Holiday Treks and Expedition Pvt. Ltd. He was born in the eastern region of Sankhuwasabha - on the lap of Makalu Mountain (Fifth highest mountain in the world at 8,481 meters). Kumar started working in Nepalese tourism at the age of 16 years. After working for 7 years as a freelance tour and trekking guide Kumar realized that he could provide clients with flexibility and quality service that can stand out in the tourism industry.

Mr. Sherpa is an enthusiastic tourism entrepreneur, fully devoted to social work, and an energetic person who has a lot of experience in trekking, peak climbing, and servicing Nepal Travelers.

Being far-sighted, he correctly speculated the immense opportunity of sustainable tourism development in Nepal and joined this continually growing field several years ago and he never had to look behind since then. Mr. Sherpa likes meeting people and traveling.

Currently, Mr. Sherpa operates his own outfit with the very hard-earned experience he has gathered over the years and heads treks in its day-to-day operations, bringing joy to his clients who relish his services & have brought much honor to Nepal’s tourism sector.
